Central New Mexico Central Labor Council Endorses Martin J. Chavez for Mayor of Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM –The Central New Mexico Central Labor Council which is made up of many public and private sector labor unions and represents thousands of workers in Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque has endorsed Mayor Martin J. Chavez for Mayor of Albuquerque.
Recently the Central New Mexico CLC held their monthly meeting and invited the mayoral candidates to attend and answer questions. After meeting with the candidates the members of the CLC voted to endorse Mayor Martin J. Chavez for his third consecutive term and fourth overall as Mayor of Albuquerque.
"Many cities across this nation have cut back services and jobs, but Albuquerque has managed to maintain many of its services, while keeping its workforce employed. This is a credit to everyone involved—the Mayor, the City Council, and, most of all, the workers" said CLC President Daniel Rivera.
Mayor Martin J. Chavez added “I am pleased to have the support of this organization representing 35 unions and 47,000 employees.”
